Introducing Our Graduates: JNC’s Graduate Program

At JNC, we take pride in nurturing the next generation of IT procurement and digital transformation SAP subject matter specialists. Our Graduate Program is designed to provide hands-on experience, expert mentorship, and career development opportunities for ambitious professionals looking to make an impact.

Since launching the scheme, we have welcomed Ed, Valeria, and Ben into the program. Over the next three years, we will be following their journeys—sharing their experiences, challenges, and achievements as they develop their skills within JNC.

Meet Our Graduate Recruits

Ed Thompson, Associate Consultant Ed is an Associate Consultant at JNC, specializing in SAP solutions and digital transformation. With a first-class BSc in Business Management (Business Analytics) from Swansea University and experience in marketing and negotiation, he combines business acumen with analytical expertise. Ed is passionate about optimizing workflows, driving efficiency, and delivering SAP solutions.

Valeria Pulbere, Associate Consultant Valeria is a data analyst and low-code developer with expertise in SQL, API integration, and data visualization. She optimizes business processes through automation and analytics, enhancing efficiency and decision-making. Passionate about data-driven solutions, she specializes in reporting accuracy, process improvement, and technical problem-solving across diverse industries.

Benjamin Clare, Associate Consultant Ben is a data analyst with a Business Analytics degree from Surrey Business School. Skilled in Python, Tableau, and SPSS, he specializes in data mining, predictive modelling, and business intelligence. Passionate about machine learning and data-driven decision-making, Ben thrives on solving business challenges through statistical analysis and optimization techniques.

But what is it really like to be a graduate here? We sat down with them to hear firsthand about their experiences so far.

Graduate Q&A: Early Reflections on Life at JNC

After a couple of months at JNC, we wanted to learn about our graduates’ experiences so far. From their first impressions to the challenges they have faced, their learning journey, and their aspirations for the future, here is what they had to say:

Q1. What attracted you to the JNC Graduate Program, and what were your first impressions of the company culture and work environment? Have these perceptions evolved since you started?

• Ben: “I was drawn to the program because it offers continuous learning and growth in a specialized industry. It’s a fantastic opportunity to develop my skills and contribute to organizations worldwide that need strategic guidance.”
• Valeria: “I loved that JNC provides hands-on experience across different projects while working with experienced professionals. The opportunity to learn about SAP licensing and consulting was particularly exciting for me.”
• Ed: “The structured three-year pathway really stood out to me. I’ve always had a strong interest in operational efficiency, and JNC provided the perfect opportunity to develop in a niche but exciting industry.”

Q2. What kind of training and mentorship have you received in the JNC Graduate Program? Which key skills have you developed the most, and in which areas do you hope to grow further?

• Ben: “SAP is complex, and you can’t just learn it from a few videos. The hands-on training and mentorship from my colleagues have been invaluable in helping me build a strong foundation.”
• Valeria: “The onboarding process was smooth, and I’ve had access to great resources—from structured learning materials to one-on-one mentoring and practical exercises. The feedback I receive helps me grow both technically and professionally.”
• Ed: “From day one, I’ve had a structured training plan with a mix of workshops, assignments, and presentations. The continuous support from my manager and colleagues has given me confidence in my ability to deliver value.”

Q3. How has your experience in the JNC Graduate Program compared to your initial expectations? What challenges have you faced in your role, and how have you overcome them?

• Ben: “I expected a high-pressure, competitive environment, but I was pleasantly surprised. The culture here is about growth and support. It’s been a great experience, and I see plenty of opportunities to develop my expertise.”
• Valeria: “My experience has exceeded my expectations! I knew there would be a lot to learn, but the collaborative and welcoming culture has made it an exciting challenge rather than an overwhelming one.”
• Ed: “I’ve been able to contribute to client work, publish articles, and work on internal research projects much sooner than I expected. The team has been incredibly supportive in sharing knowledge, which has made a huge difference.”

Q4. How have you integrated into your team and JNC as a whole? Can you share an example of a project where you took on responsibility or made an impact?

• Ben: “Being in a smaller company means there’s a real chance for my ideas to be heard and have an impact. I’ve already been able to take on meaningful projects and contribute to key business decisions.”
• Valeria: “From the start, I was encouraged to take initiative, particularly in improving internal tools and conducting SAP research. It’s rewarding to know that my work is making a difference.”
• Ed: “I’ve had the chance to take the lead on tasks, conduct in-depth research, and present my findings to both my team and external audiences. I’m looking forward to taking on even more responsibilities as I grow.”

Q5. What do you enjoy most about working at JNC? Looking ahead, what are your career goals, and how do you see yourself contributing to the company’s success?

• Ben: “The fast pace of learning and knowing that my contributions are valued. Every day, I’m building skills that will benefit my career long-term.”
• Valeria: “The people and the culture! The supportive environment, variety of projects, and social events make it a fantastic place to work.”
• Ed: “The hybrid work model gives me a great work-life balance, and the team is incredibly welcoming. Everyone is willing to share their expertise, which makes learning and growing in this role even more enjoyable.”
